Tooth whitening efficacy can be affected by a variety of factors, including concentration and application time. This in vitro research sought to determine the initial content and release kinetics of four tooth whitening powders with different concentrations based on the original text and release kinetics of the hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide content as converted to its HP equivalent. To determine HP concentration, Titrations with Cerium Sulphate IV were done. A spectrophotometric technique was used to determine HP release kinetics. The results were reported as the mean values and 95% confidence intervals of the percentage of hydrogen peroxide content during release kinetics. The percentage of titrated HP was higher than that indicated by the manufacturers in all tested products. All HP products were sold at least 85% of HP content, according to the manufacturers' minimum application times; the gel containing 10% CP contained 10% CP reported the lowest availability at 85. 49.
