The ProtekDuo in ECMO configuration for ARDS secondary to COVID-19: A systematic review

Patients treated with the ProtekDuo cannula in five studies had survival rates between 59% and 89% during the five studies, which provided a significant survival benefit when compared to an invasive ventilation company or other double lumen ECMO cannulas. When the ProtekDuo was used, an association for acute kidney injury prevention and continuous renal replacement therapy could have been shown. Only limited literature is available for the ProtekDuo in V-P ECMO configuration in the COVID-19 ARDS setting, and caution should be used with caution.
