Penetrating ballistic brain injury produces acute alterations in sleep and circadian-related genes in the rodent cortex: A preliminary study

We performed transcriptional profiling in a recognized rodent model of permeating ballistic brain injury along with constant sleep pattern recording of the first 24 hrs after injury. 12 grown-up male Sprague-Daley rats that were randomized to PBBI or sham teams, animals obtained a right unilateral frontal PBBI, after that were compromised after 24 hrs of EGG/EMG recording.
