Methods were applied to renal transplant recipients and controls, as well as assessment of mesencephalon, SN, third ventricle, spleen, and carotid intima-media thickness and middle cerebral artery Doppler resistive index. The effect of a short ultrasound training course on the performance of emergency medical technicians in terms of using extended-focused assessment with sonography in trauma (E-FAST) in the pre-hospital setting

Aim: The aim of this research was to determine the effect of ultrasound training course on emergency medical technicians' overall efficiency in terms of using extended-focused assessment with sonography in the pre-hospital setting. Emergency medicine specialists in Then, 6 hours of theoretical and practical sessions were conducted to teach the EMTs how to use ultrasound for the detection of pneumothorax and free fluid. The study included 107 EMTs with the mean age of 27. 21 and an average of 3. 5 years work experience. Building a bigger tent in point-of-care ultrasound education: a mixed-methods evaluation of interprofessional, near-peer teaching of internal medicine residents by sonography students

The aim of this review was to evaluate a POCUS course in which diagnostic medical sonography students served as near-peer instructors for internal medicine residents learning to perform abdominal sonography. Methods Prior to the IPE workshop, DMS students participated in a train-the-trainer session to develop teaching and communication skills by case-based simulation. On live models, DMS students then coached first-year IMR to conduct POCUS examinations of the kidney, bladder, and gallbladder. IMR and DMS students' course evaluations were generally positive. In focus group interviews, twenty three residents and 6/6 DMS students participated. Both groups stressed the importance of establishing mutual understanding of goals, and future workshops should have more dedicated time for DMS student demonstrations of scanning methods. This strategy may result in the wider acceptance of POCUS in medical education, particularly when faculty experience is limited.

A revisit of the fetal foot length and fetal measurements in early pregnancy sonography

Results: The fetal measurement and measurement ratios were investigated in relation to the foot length and length; the gestational age is ten years old; 16 weeks gestation. The fetal foot length, fetal biparietal circumference, abdominal circumference, and femur length can be greater than with the crown rump length. Conclusion: The femur length to foot length ratio and the femur length to abdominal circumference ratios increase with the gestational age in an inverse relationship throughout the same period. The relationship between foot length and other fetal measurements is much greater than crown rump length.
