Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the joints. We investigated for the first time the relationship between diet and the risk of RA onset using a sample size of approximately half a million people from one of the UK's largest publicly available biobanks. Oily fish, alcohol, coffee, and breakfast cereals all played protective roles in RA, according to the study, although tea can raise the risk of RA. In conclusion, the obtained results reveal that diet plays a vital role in RA, either encouraging or preventing RA onset and development.
