An intelligent demand forecasting model using a hybrid of metaheuristic optimization and deep learning algorithm for predicting concrete block production

Demand forecasting helps to maximize industrial company's production planning by ensuring that the production plan meets future demand. Demand forecasting uses historical records to help anticipate future demand trends. A new method for creating an intelligent demand forecasting system that incorporates a blend of metaheuristic optimization and deep learning algorithm is presented in this paper. Using historical data of 36 months of concrete block manufacturing at a dler company in Iraq, the proposed model has been tested and compared to the original gated recurrent unit and the long-term memory model.
