Cannabidiol‐rich non‐psychotropic Cannabis sativa L. oils attenuate peripheral neuropathy symptoms by regulation of CB2‐mediated microglial neuroinflammation

Neuropathic pain is a persistent illness that affects patients' normal quality of life. The effectiveness of Cannabis sativa L. on NP has been demonstrated by several studies, but no u03949u2010tetrahydrocannabinol u2010free extracts have been tested in depth for this use so far. Compared to the same extract devoid of terpenes, the principal aim of this study is to investigate the potential painu2010relieving effect of innovative cannabidiol-u2010rich non-u2010psychotropic C. sativa oils, with a high percentage of terpenes, compared to the same extract devoid of terpenes. Pain hypersensitivity in a mouse model of peripheral neuropathy could be relieved rapidly and long-term when administered in a long-term, oral administration of K2 in a long-lasting treatment of pain hypersensitivity. K2 decreased mitogenu2010activated protein kinase levels and neuroinflammatory factors in spinal cord samples, as well as neuroinflammatory factors. These results, in conclusion, suggest that K2 oral therapy reduced NP symptoms by reducing spinal neuroinflammation, while undermining the crucial role of the synergism between cannabinoids and terpenes.

Protective effect of a mitochondria‐targeting peptide against paclitaxel‐induced peripheral neuropathy

Abstract Abstract: Abstract Chemotherapy is a key side effect of several anticancer drugs, including paclitaxel, a common chemotherapy drug widely used in cancer therapy. The presence of mechanical allodynia and the absence of intraepidermal nerve fibers in the hind paw confirmed peripheral neuropathy. According to our results, SSu20102020 may be a drug candidate for the prevention of CIPN.
