Advanced Polymeric Nanoagents for Oral Cancer Theranostics: A Mini Review

Oral cancer is one of the world' most common cancers that threaten human life and well-being. The 5-year survival rate of patients with oral cancer hasn't increased in significant for many years. Most of the patients have advanced to the point where oral cancer is detected. Consequently, there is urgent need for more efficient and precise methods for early detection and timely diagnosis of oral cancer. Nanomedicine has emerged as a new diagnostic and therapeutic platform for many diseases, especially cancer. We'll be focusing on the use of advanced polymeric nanoagents in both diagnosis and treatment of oral cancer. Then, oral cancer research and trends for polymeric nanoagents are discussed, with the hope that more advanced nanomedical technologies can be applied to oral cancer research and promote stomatology research.
