The pathophysiology of migraine as a headache disorder is also uncertain. Diffusion tensor imaging has greatly enhanced our knowledge of brain microstructure in this disorder. Here, we sought to review DTI studies in migraine and determine the causes of heterogeneity by investigating diffusion parameter changes related to clinical characteristics and migraine subtypes. In addition, migraine associated with depressive/anxiety symptoms revealed significant changes in the corpus callosum, internal capsule, and superior longitudinal fasciculus. There were no significant differences between migraine patients with and without aura. Overall, the differences between chronic and episodic migraine showed inconsistency across studies. These changes may show neuronal injury and neuronal plasticity responses either as a result of migraine triggers or as a symptom of persistent migraine pain. Longitudinal studies using advanced modalities may provide new insight into migraine subtypes' root microstructural changes.

This review looked at the relationship between resting-state cortical oscillations and 3-month treatment success in patients with CM. Patients with CM were recruited with demographic, socioeconomic, and headache profiles, as well as the healthy controls. While there is growing evidence for the efficacy and safety of acupuncture for migraine in the general population, there are no studies on acupuncture during pregnancy. With this retrospective review, we wanted to see if there is a correlation between acupuncture treatment and preterm delivery and side effects of therapy. According to a number of treatment sessions and stratifying the research sample by age group and risk pregnancy, acupuncture was carried out. According to our preliminary results, acupuncture can be safe during pregnancy in women with migraine.
