This research sought to investigate the effects of dietary high doses of chromium-methionine supplementation on blood hemato-biochemical and growth of finishing lambs raised under warm conditions with a high temperature-humidity index of 85. 8 units. For eight weeks, fifteen male lambs were fed with either un-supplemented diet or supplementaled with 1. 5 and 3 grams of Cr/kg dry matter. The findings revealed that high doses of supplemental Cr had no adverse effects on red and white blood cells. Moreover, erythrocyte glutathione perforation in Cr3 group was more prominent in this group than in CON and Cr1. 5 groups. Lambs in Cr1. 5 and Cr3 groups had lower daily feed intake in comparison to CON, with reduced daily feed intake in comparison to CON. These results demonstrate that feeding summer-exposed finishing lambs with 3 mg of Cr/kg DM improves blood antioxidant status and feed to increase efficiency without adverse effects on lambs' health and metabolism.
