Depending on concentration, tetraethoxysilane can influence hybrid films' morphological and electrochemical characteristics. In addition, the use of acetic acid as a catalyst in the sol leads to a more complete hydrolysis of the silane precursors as a result of the fact that the acetic acid undergoes a more complete breakdown when in a aqueous solution. The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of tetraethoxysilane's concentration on the film's antistatic properties on a tinplate substrate. 3 - methacrylate and poly PMMA were coated on the tinplate with a poly film made from a sol-gel process, which consisted of the following alkoxide precursors: 3 - methacrylate and poly PMMA.
