The role of surgery on primary site in metastatic upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma and a nomogram for predicting the survival of patients with metastatic upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma

\ nAbstract \ nMetastatic top urinary system urothelial carcinoma is a fairly rare urothelial carcinoma, and little attention has been provided to it. After PSM, we signed up 502 patients in our study accomplice. The evaluation of subgroups of T phase, N phase, and various metastatic sites showed that the survival of patients with T1/T2, N0/N1/N2/ N3, transition consisting of liver, and metastasis including bone could be improved by a combination of surgery and radiation treatment, while for the patients with T3/T4/TX, NX, metastasis consisting of lung, and transition including remote lymph nodes, radiation treatment alone was a better selection to enhance their total survival. Our research fully verifies the duty of surgical treatment on primary site in UTUC patients with distant metastasis and the importance of categorizing the patients into subgroups by incorporating variables consisting of T phase, N phase, and different metastatic sites to choose the optimal treatment technique.
