MOFs with a hierarchical porous skeleton shell, high packing density, a large surface area, and chemical stability like conventional MOFs are among the well-defined hollow sphere MOFs. Superior bifunctional oxygen electrocatalytic capacity was demonstrated by the Mn/Fe-HIB-MOFs with half-wave potential for oxygen reduction and overpotential for oxygen evolution reactions, outperforming commercial Pt/C and RuO 2.
