Vision‐based displacement measurement using a camera mounted on a structure with stationary background targets outside the structure

Although structural displacements are critical data for structural health monitoring, they are not being widely used in practice due to the inconvenience. According to changes in the situation in which it is mounted, a vision device exhibits not only the changes of objects on the scene but also the exact changes of view. This research, based on a camera movement induced relative view change in a location where a camera is mounted, provides a method for detecting the structural displacement of a location where a camera is mounted. Camera calibration is first conducted with background goals to determine the camera settings and coordinates of the target feature points. The points' updated 2Du2010image coordinates of the points are obtained by Second, by monitoring the relative changes in the feature points as a result of the camera's motion. The displacement is calculated by using the camera parameters to determine the distance between the changed 2Du2010image coordinates and the target feature point's fixed 3D coordinates.

Steady‐state PMU data selection for parameter identification of transmission line considering the influence of measurement error

Phasor measurement units are a common data source for parameter determination of the transmission line. This paper discusses a method of selecting the most reliable B&X results from the constant data sources of the identified B&X, acknowledging the above and approximations of the relative influence characteristics of the identified B&X's relative errors with respect to the APT. The practical thresholds of B&X identification have been established, as well as the principle that B/X identified with the low/high APT respectively, and then the method for selecting the steady-state PMU results are suggested.

Climatology of the CO vertical distribution on Mars based on ACS TGO measurements

Carbon monoxide, a non-u201-condensable gas in the Martian atmosphere that caused by CO2's photolysis, is a non-u2010condensable gas. By solar occultation, CO in infrared bands has been determined onboard the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter's infrared bands. At Ls=10000200-u00b0 in high southern latitudes, we discovered a significant increase of CO near the surface, which corresponds to local depletion of CO2. An increase of the CO mixing ratio at high latitudes of both hemispheres was observed from 50 km to 3000 ppmv, which adds CO rich air. We see less CO than during MY34's calm MY35, suggesting an effect of HOx chemistry on the CO abundance.

Comparison of energetic electron fluxes measured by GPS and THEMIS spacecraft in the inner magnetosphere

Energizing electron fluxes in the inner magnetosphere and the outer radiation belt are two of the key features of space weather models. Flux enhancements are triggered by a variety of acceleration processes: local waveu2010particle interactions, atomic transport, plasma sheet injections. Onboard the Global Positioning System constellation, Energetic electron detectors provide a unique way to investigate such u223c hour/u2010scale flux variations. Measurements from up to 23 identically-u2010controlled GPS satellites cover a wide energy and Lu2010shell range, with a sub-u2010hour time resolution. In this paper, we offer a comparison of equatorial THEMIS and non-u2010equatorial GPS measurements of omnidirectional keV electron fluxes in omnidirectional u2264 600 keV electron fluxes. Such a comparison helps us to derive coefficients for calculating the equatorial values using off-u2010equatorial GPS fluxes. We present a new data set derived from GPS measurements and discuss how it can be used to determine the mesoscale dynamics of energetic electron fluxes in the inner magnetosphere.

Characteristics of annual mold variations and association with childhood allergic symptoms/diseases via combining surveys and home visit measurements

The findings from 3361 children without changes to their homes since birth established the consistent correlations of indoor humidity/mold measurements and prevalence of children's u2010 reported illnesses, including increased adjusted odd ratios > 1 for diagnosed asthma, wheeze, allergic rhinitis, and eczema. Whether indoors or outdoors, airborne fungal concentrations from air sampling were higher than 1000 CFU/m3 in summer, indicating an intermediate pollution level. According to u03b1 and u03b2 diversity reports, the Aspergillus was the most common at genus level, and the Aspergillus_penicillioides was the most widespread at species level; however, the fungal community and composition varied dramatically in different homes and seasons. The study further clarifies the role of microbiome in human health, which aids in determining health risks and monitoring mold treatments in buildings, in addition to increasing indoor air quality and human well-being.
