P-gp's mRNA and protein expression levels were significantly reduced in the hypoxic group compared to those in the normoxic group. The highest values of levofloxacin absorption in the hypoxic group were 19. 99%, 29. 29%, and 45. 4 percent in the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum segments, respectively, at 75 min. For accurate drug administration at high altitudes, knowing the distinct mechanisms of drug transporters under hypoxia is vital.
