Abstract Background The global malaria decline has stalled, and only a few countries are advocating for pre-elimination, according to a brief overview. The aim of the malaria elimination phase is to prevent local transmission of a specific malaria parasite in a defined geographical area. This research was designed to synthesize evidence on the apprehension of malaria parasites among people living in endemic regions. Diagnostic Test Accuracy Guideline Methods This research was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis for Diagnostic Test Accuracy Guideline. To display the findings of individual research in a receiver operating characteristics space, summary receiver operating characteristics plots were developed. Overall, the pooled test results for Pan LAMP, Plasmodium falciparum LAMP, or Plasmodium vivax LAMP from six research were excellent for Pan LAMP, Plasmodium falciparum LAMP. Pan LAMP, Pf LAMP, and Pv LAMP's results were found to be within the acceptable accuracy range, according to the region under the curve. Among other things, a meta-regression report revealed that sample size had the greatest influence on test results. Conclusions LAMP-based assays have been shown to be effective in detecting low-level malaria parasite infections in the field and have been used in malaria control and elimination programs, according to the current studies. Future well-designed larger sample studies on LAMP measurements in passive and active malaria surveillances that use PCR as the reference standard and provide enough data to build a 2 diagnostic table are required.

Sample-to-answer, extraction-free, real-time RT-LAMP test for SARS-CoV-2 in nasopharyngeal, nasal, and saliva samples: Implications and use for surveillance testing.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for fast, accurate, and inexpensive nucleic acid tests to enable prompt identification of infected individuals. We developed a sample-to-answer nucleic acid test for SARS-CoV-2 that gives results in less than an hour when using inexpensive and readily available reagents. The results of the RT-LAMP assay were compared to traditional RT-qPCR for nasopharyngeal swabs, nasal swabs, and saliva of a cohort of patients hospitalized due to COVID-19. Positive correlation with RT-LAMP was 100 percent for samples with Ct 30 and 69-91% for samples with Ct 40 percent. This sample-to-answer, extraction-free real-time RT-LAMP test for SARS-CoV-2 provides a highly adaptable device to efforts to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as future infectious disease outbreaks.

The RT-LAMP assay's results were compared to conventional RT-qPCR for nasopharyngeal swabs, nasal swabs, and saliva obtained from a cohort of patients hospitalized due to COVID-19. Positive results with RT-LAMP samples using the isothermal fluorimeter were 100% for samples with Ct 30 and 69 percent for samples with Ct 40 percent. This sample-to-answer, extraction-free real-time RT-LAMP test for SARS-CoV-2 provides a highly adaptable tool to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and can help identify future infectious disease threats.
