IMPACT OF COMPETITIVE FLOW ON HEMODYNAMICS OF LIMA-LAD GRAFTING WITH DIFFERENT STENOSIS: A NUMERICAL STUDY

Background and Aims: When using artery graft in the coronary artery bypass graft, competitive flow exists in the native coronary artery, and this is a significant factor in the arterial graft's long-term patency. Conclusions: Competitive flow can have detrimental hemodynamic consequences on artery graft, especially if the stenosis degree is below 50%, so long-term patency of the artery graft will be poor because of the backflow, low WSS, and high OSI, and the effect of OSI is more obvious than WSS.

Abstract PS15-13: Safe margins for delineation of left anterior descending artery (LAD) using cardiac-gated CT-scan (CG-CT) in left side breast cancer patients

Abstract Background: Cardiac disease after breast cancer radiotherapy is mainly due to the heavy radiation doses applied to coronary arteries. Guidelines is the first step in establishing robustly demonstrated dose limits to the LAD during treatment planning. Objective/Materials: The aim of the investigation was to determine a risk margin for delineation of the LAD in BC patients between 2015 and 2018. [abstract]: Safe margins for delineation of left anterior descending artery using cardiac-gated CT-scan in left-side breast cancer patients are [abstract]. Comparison of transient and permanent LAD ligation in mice using 18F-FDG PET imaging

After permanent or transient ligation of the left anterior descending artery, we investigated the correlation of 18F-FDG-derived left ventricular metabolic volume, defect area, and cardiac function in mice. After permanent and transient LAD ligation, permanent and transient LAD ligation, the QGS software's cardiac function parameters positively correlate with LVMV. This study provides new insight into 18F-FDG-derived LVMV after permanent and transient LAD ligation by longitudinal in 18F-FDG PET imaging, and it emphasizes the correlations of the FDG derived parameter and cardiac function.

Numerical study of the effect of hemodynamic variables on LDL concentration through the single layer of the Left Anterior Descending coronary artery (LAD) under the heart pulse

Using computational simulation, hemodynamic variables, as well as the measurement of LDL through the coronary porous artery at the Left Anterior Descending coronary artery, as well as the presence of LDL throughout the coronary porous artery and the first diagonal branch under heart motion were investigated in this paper. The geometry in this paper is the first bifurcation of Left Anterior Descending that has been placed on a perimeter of a simulated sphere representative of the heart geometry. Variations in the artery wall's concentration of LDL and its relationship to oscillation under different circumstances are described.

‘Lad culture’ and sexual violence against students1

This chapter explores the topic of sexual harassment against students in connection with the idea of a 'u2018lad culture'u2019. ' The chapter explores such issues within neoliberal competitively driven universities, adopting a more nuanced approach to campus sexuality and the masculine cultures that frame it.

To be or not be (in the LAD): emerging roles of lamin proteins in transcriptional regulation

Lamins are components of the nuclear lamina, a protein meshwork that runs under the nuclear membrane. This paper will explore how lamins control non-silent genes both inside and outside of LADs, focusing on transcriptional regulation and chromatin organization in Drosophila and mammals as metazoan model organisms.

Abstract 10536: Adenosine Triphosphate - Sensitive Potassium Channel Opener Diazoxide Reduces Myocardial Stunning in a Porcine Lad Occlusion Model

Hypothesis: After left anterior descending coronary artery occlusion and global ischemia, similar to a clinical situation of acute myocardial infarction followed by coronary revascularization, we speculated that DZX would reduce myocardial arrest. Results: The DZX group had separated from CPB by 30 min RF, while the CPG group's only 1 and 4 animals had separated at 15 and 30 min, respectively. During reperfusion, however, there were not significantly different DZX-related results, including shorter average time to wean from CPB and higher CO at all time points during reperfusion, but, these weren't significantly different. After 30 minutes of reperfusion, DZX was associated with higher LVEF. DZX reduces myocardial shock and facilitates separation from CPB after LAD occlusion and subsequent global ischemia in a porcine model. In the clinical setting, the introduction of DZX to hyperkalemic cardioplegia has the ability to minimize myocardial arrest.

Detection of cardiac apoptosis by [18F]ML-10 in a mouse model of permanent LAD ligation

Purpose of the Paper Myocardial Infarction's lack of functioning cardiac cells and cell death is also a significant barrier in preventing heart failure due to heart failure. Procedures and Result Using 2-2-2-methyl-malonic acid in autoradiography and positron emission tomography showed apoptosis in murine hearts after permanent ligation of the left anterior descending artery resulting in myocardial infarction. [18 F]FDG and the histological approach demonstrate apoptosis by [18 F]ML-10, which is in accordance with the defect visualized by [18 F]FDG and the histological approach. [18 F]ML-10 could be a good tracer for apoptosis imaging in a mouse model of permanent LAD ligation.
