Evaluation of serum G protein-coupled estrogen receptor 1 (GPER-1) levels in patients with androgenetic alopecia

For the first time through the literature, the aim of this research is to examine serum GPER-1 levels of AGA patients and determine the location of them in AGA pathogenesis. In comparison to 40 healthy controls with similar characteristics in terms of age and gender, 40 AGA patients with clinical AGA stage 2 - u20133 diagnosis, according to the Hamilton-U2013Norwood classification for males and AGA stage 2 in particular, including male, total testosterone, progesterone, follicle stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone were included in the study, in comparison to 40 healthy controls with similar demographics by age and gender. GPER-1 may have a role in AGA pathogenesis independent of gender, with notably high serum GPER-1 levels in AGA patients with no correlation between gender and GPER-1 Levels compared to healthy controls.

Rhein promotes the proliferation of keratinocytes by targeting oestrogen receptors for skin ulcer treatment

The Sheng-ji Hua-yu formula is a very effective Traditional Chinese Medicines for the treatment of delayed diabetic wounds. Methods by Microscale thermophoresis technology was used to demonstrate that rhein binds directly to oestrogen receptors. Results Rhein increased the number of cells in the S phase of the cell cycle and promoted keratinocyte proliferation. By ICI 182,780, a gouty of c-myc mRNA and protein induced by rhein was antagonized, implying that the procedure is ER dependent. Intervention with ICI 182,780 had no effect on FosB and JunD's upregulation, showing that activator protein 1 members are involved in the production of c-myc mRNA and protein expression but does not require the ER, but did not require the ER. Conclusion The present research found that rhein stimulates keratinocyte proliferation by triggering the expression of c-myc in collaboration with FosB and JunD, accelerating the process of re-epithelialization.

The association between adiposity and anti-proliferative response to neoadjuvant endocrine therapy with letrozole in post-menopausal patients with estrogen receptor positive breast cancer

The effect of adiposity on the efficacy of endocrine therapy in patients with estrogen receptor positive breast cancer is unclear. According to a multivariable regression model adjusted for baseline Ki67, a greater number of tumors with an anti-proliferative response was found in patients with obesity as compared to patients with normal weight and patients with overweight. Progranulin, a moderator of estrogen/estrogen receptor α binding, regulates bone homeostasis through PERK/p-eIF2 signaling pathway

Abstract To maintain a dynamic balance between bone formation and resorption under normal conditions, the human body uses osteoblasts and osteoclasts, which results in the human body's synergistic action. Bone homeostasis plays a significant role in bone formation. If bone homeostasis is disrupted, several bone disorders can arise. The serum estrogen levels were noticeably elevated in the granulin u2013deficient mice and PGRN's control of estrogen and estrogen receptor binding, which in turn affects estrogen regulation and resorption. In summary, we reported the important role of PGRN in controlling the estrogen /ERu03b1 signal in maintaining bone homeostasis. PGRN is a biological regulator of E2 and ERu03b1 signal binding, which is a key factor in preserving bone homeostasis. Different amounts of E2 are responsible for the best therapeutic results of PGRN in osteoporosis.

The effect of local estrogen therapy on the urinary microbiome composition of postmenopausal women with and without recurrent urinary tract infections

Introduction and hypotheses Recurrent urinary tract infections account for 21% of postmenopausal women in 2–u201310 percent. UTIs can be reduced by local estrogen therapy, according to a study published in the United States. In two groups, this research sought to compare the urinary microbiome between patients with and without a history of rUTIs, as well as whether educating LET improves the diversity and richness of microbiome species. Methods Postmenopausal women with and without rUTIs were recruited at the urogynecology clinic between April 2019 and December 2020, which included both rUTIs and without rUTIs. Conclusions: The use of F. magna decreased the local hormonal environment of the urinary bladder and most likely shielded women from the risk of rUTI development by decreasing the presence of F. magna.

N-myc Downstream-Regulated Gene 2 (Ndrg2): A Critical Mediator of Estrogen-Induced Neuroprotection Against Cerebral Ischemic Injury

With western blot analyses, we first detected NDRG2 expression in the cortex and striatum in both female and male mice. We then found cerebral ischemic disease in Ndrg2 knockout or conditional knockdown female mice by constructing middle cerebral artery occlusion and reperfusion models. In both the cortex and striatum, we found that NDRG2 expression in females was much higher in female than in male mice. GFAP upregulation in OVX mice was also caused by estrogen and DPN. In Ndrg2 knockout OVX mice and primary cultured astrocytes, the effect of estrogen and DPN in activating astrocytes was lost in Ndrg2 knockout OVX mice and primary cultured astrocytes, but partially retained in conditional knockout OVX mice. In Ndrg2 knockout OVX mice, the neuroprotective effects of E2 and DPN against cerebral ischemic injury were lost, but conditional knockout OVX mice were partially retained in conditional knockdown mice, according to Ndrg2.
