Achilles enthesitis on physical examination leads to worse outcomes after 2 years of follow up in patients with ankylosing spondylitis from REGISPONSER-AS registry

Background: Enthesitis is one of the most common peripheral musculoskeletal manifestations in patients with axial spondyloarthritis. However, there are few studies that specifically examine Achilles tendon enthesitis and its effect over time. After 2 years of follow-up in patients with ankylosing spondylitis, the aim of this research was to quantify the effect of Achilles u2019 tendon enthesitis discovered at baseline during physical examination on the outcome measures. Thesitis of physical examination during physical examination at the baseline study visit was detected among the 749 patients included, 46 patients discovered Achilles tendon enthesitis during physical examination at the baseline study visit. Patients with and without Achilles enthesitis, respectively, had a 17. 9% and 31. 5% chance of ASDAS low disease prevalence after two years of follow-up, respectively. Conclusions: After two years of follow-up, patients with AS were consistently poorer scores on outcome measures, contributing to a reduced risk of experiencing low disease prevalence in patients with AS.

Recent updates in enthesitis-related arthritis

Enthesitis-related arthritis, as a component of juvenile spondyloarthropathy, is a form of juvenile idiopathic arthritis that falls within the spectrum of diseases associated with juvenile spondyloarthropathy. Among many hypotheses relating HLA B27 to era, one of them is the effects of HLA B27 on gut dysbiosis. However, new findings show that gut dysbiosis is probably not caused by HLA B27. axial disease is present in 55% of MRI findings, with children having arthritis and enthesitis. Children are not able to participate in active and chronic diseases thanks to a computer-driven strategy. An abridged version of juvenile spondyloarthropathy disease activity test that did not need acute phase reactions or Schober test did as well as the original score, increasing its acceptance in routine care. Secukinumab has a more than 75% response rate in children with ERA, and it may be a good alternative to anti-TNF therapy. Initial results with tofacitinib also look promising.

Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) and IgA anti CD74 antibodies in Indian patients with enthesitis-related arthritis category of Juvenile idiopathic arthritis

We investigated the serum and synovial fluid levels of MIF in ERA and searched for the IgA antiCD74 antibodies in patients with ERA in our population as enthesitis-related arthritis is a form of juvenile spondyloarthropathy. paraphrased arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, respectively, in 101 patients of ERA and 38 healthy controls, according to ELISA in 101 patients of ERA and compared to 28 patients from other classes of JIA, ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatoid arthritis. MIF levels in ERA [2. 50 ng/ml] and patients with RA [2. 23 ] and patients with AIDS [3. 62 ] were higher in ERA [2. 63 b] and patients with AS [3. 62 ]. Patients with ERA have elevated MIF values that show no correlation with disease risk.

Bibliometric analysis of publications on enthesitis in spondyloarthritis in 2012–2021 based on web of science core collection databases

From a bibliometric perspective, this study sought to give a broad overview of enthesitis-related research and investigate the direction of current topics and future research trends. In the Web of Science Core Collection databases, the international literature on enthesitis published from 2012 to 2021 were searched. An online bibliometric platform and VOSviewer software were used to explore the hot topics and research trends in the latest research and academic trends. The United States was the leading country with the highest publication counts, highest h-index, and the largest collaboration network as of June 29, 2022, among these countries. The Journal of Rheumatology and Professor Mease PJ, respectively, were the most influential journal and influential author. Present research concentrated on the role of inflammatory cytokines involved in the pathogenesis and the production of antibodies against these factors.

The identification of association between ultrasonographic enthesitis and the ASAS Health Index in patients with axial spondyloarthritis

This study was designed to determine correlations between the entheseal abnormalities in ultrasound and the establishment of Spondyloarthritis International Society Health Index in patients with axial spondyloarthritis. The MASEI total score and the MASEI sub-scores were calculated. Patients' wellness and disease use was assessed using the ASAS HI and other SpA devices. MASEI's overall score was 8. 4 out of 8. 8, according to MASEI's report, the mean MASEI-structural damage was 4. 4 3. 8. There was no association between ASAS HI and MASEI total scores. According to this report, active entheseal lesions were more detrimental to ASAS HI scores than structural lesions. With axSpA, we recommend adding the entheses evaluation with ultrasonography to other methods for monitoring patient health.
