The aim was to compare two methods for caries prevention in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. FA group treated first permanent molars with fluoride varnishes, FA group, whereas the second, with dental sealant plus fluoride varnishes, FA + S group. In the FA + S group, survival rates from dental caries were remarkably higher in comparison to the FA group. Combined dental sealant and fluoride varnish application was more effective at reducing caries risk in ASDs' first permanent molars than fluoride varnish alone.
