An analysis of 275 DIY recipes for eye cosmetics and their possible safety issues

The purpose of this study is to evaluate recipes for eye makeup and makeup removal services, as well as eyelash and eye contour care products. We collected recipes for do-it-yourself products from blogs and social media in French and English, then analysed their composition, as well as how practical it is to make these dishes. According to the findings, recipes for eye or periocular use are not safe to use, and that their use is likely to have little tolerable effects.

Enhanced capillary zone electrophoresis in cyclic olefin copolymer microchannels using the combination of dynamic and static coatings for rapid analysis of carnosine and niacinamide in cosmetics

Capillary zone electrophoresis was carried out in cyclic olefin copolymer microchips with both dynamic and static coatings in order to produce rapid and accurate determination of carnosine and niacinamide in cosmetics. The static coating of cyclic olefin copolymer microchannel was made from bovine serum albumin adsorption, immobilization, and active site closure, while the active coating was applied by adding surfactant to the running buffer of capillary zone electrophoresis. The static coating can improve the cyclic olefin copolymer surface's hydrophilicity and prevent nonspecific peptide adsorption. The cyclic olefin copolymer microchip device's dynamic coating of sodium dodecyl sulfate in the running buffer helped with flow velocity adjustment and column improvement. The mixture of carnosine and nicotinamide was separated at 4. 24 percent with a separation resolution of up to 4. 24.
