Randomized Clinical Trial to Compare Underwater Cold Snare Polypectomy (UCSP) to Conventional Cold Snare Polypectomy (CCSP) for Non Pedunculated Colon Polyps of Size 5-10mm [COLDWATER Study]

Colon cancer is the third cause of death from a malignant disease worldwide. The screening colonoscopy in adults over the age of 45 years of age aims to identify and treat colon polyps that are precancerous lesions as early as possible. Endoscopic polyp removal can be carried out with various methods depending on the shape, morphology, location of the polyp, etc. This is a prospective double-blind clinical trial to compare the safety and effectiveness of CCSP to underwater cold snare polypectomy for non-pedunculated polyps of size 5-10 mm. These findings will help develop polypectomy methods for non-pedunculated polyps 5-10mm. The investigators expect UCSP to have a higher muscularis mucosa resection rate and investigate the submucosa resection rate as a result of the study.
