Cirrhosis, a chronic liver disease caused by prolonged and widespread liver fibrosis, is a terminal liver disease in which the fibrotic tissues replace the functional hepatic cells. Cirrhosis is characterized by a variety of medical disorders and has poor prognosis; therefore, finding novel antifibrotic drugs to prevent cirrhosis is of utmost importance. In the pathogenesis of liver fibrosis, mounting evidence points to the key role of serum response factor and myocardin-u2010-related transcription factors A. Here, we've reviewed the most recent results revealing the role of SRF/MRTF-u2010A complex in liver fibrosis and its therapeutic potential for the treatment of cirrhosis.
In countries with well-run hepatitis B virus vaccination schemes, the hepatitis delta virus is thought to be a vanishing disease. The percentage of HDV-infected patients in the HBsAgu2010positive population in the regional registry in 2020 was 32. 7%. At the first doctor's visit, 37. 5% had liver cirrhosis, and 7. 4% of patients lived in families where another family member had HDV. 94 percent of HBV genotype D, and 55 percent had genotype A. HBV was the predominant genotype in Tuva, and 55% had genotype D1, 1274 for D2, and 1173 for D3.
