Chronic pelvic pain syndrome and persistent prostatitis are impossible to distinguish from one another, herein designated as CP/CPPS. After clinical screening, 24 patients with CPPS without apparent urinary symptoms were excluded from December 2019 to November 2020, with 13 healthy male participants included. Multiple chronic pain-related miRNAs were modified in EVs in prostatic fluid of patients with CPPS, which may be used as diagnostic indicators for CPPS. Extracellular vesicles were isolated from the expression of a prostatic secrecy of CPPS patients and healthy adults, according to the overall plan.
