Systematic review and meta-analysis of celiac plexus neurolysis for abdominal pain associated with unresectable pancreatic cancer.

Introduction Celiac plexus neurolysis has been developed as an adjunctive therapy to medical therapy of abdominal pain associated with unresectable pancreatic cancer. We defined the primary outcome as a standardized pain intensity score from 0-10, and measured the mean difference between the CPN+ MM and MM groups at 4, 8, and 12 weeks after treatment started. At 4 weeks, -0. 46 at 8 weeks, and - 1. 35 at 12 weeks, according to the synthesized mean difference in the pain intensity score between the CPN + MM and MM groups. Even if the duration of the event is short-lived, considering the absence of significant adverse events, there are several drawbacks, but abdominal pain in patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer patients with MM alone should be a possibility, even if the duration of the treatment is short-lived.

Robotic computed tomography-guided celiac plexus neurolysis: our experience of technique and outcomes.

For the first time, we report the use of robot assistance in computed tomography-guided celiac plexus neurolysis. Materials and methods: Four patients of upper abdominal cancer with intractable pain were treated with opioids, but opioids were also present prone on the PET-computed tomography scanner, which determined the precise coordinates for the entry, depth, and angle of the target point. Patients were seen to have a significant decrease in pain scores and oral morphine intake following the 3 months follow-up.
