Both at the closed ends and in the bulk liquid, the transient process coupled with a rapid growth of conical segments of hydraulic systems can result in massive cavitation bubbles. We suggest the onset criteria, which consist of two universal non-dimensional variables Ca 1 and Ca 2, for the bubbles produced at the bottom of the tube. We numerically investigate the bubbles created in the bulk liquid, the jet's characteristics, and the pressure pulse at the bubble rupture.
