The reactivity of palladium indenyl derivatives and their applications are relatively new, but in recent times these compounds have been used as pre-catalysts capable of promoting experimental cross-coupling processes. We recommend the first systematic review of the nucleophilic attack on the palladium coordinated indenyl fragment as spectator ligands, as well as a database of new Pd-indenyl complexes bearing mono- or bidentate phosphine ligands, which may lead to the development of specific synthetic techniques. The determination of second order rate constants has allowed us to investigate the effect of the phosphine ligands on the process's kinetics and determine the steric and electronic descriptors that are most useful for predicting reactivity of these systems. Finally, in vitro experiments have shown that these organometallic compounds promote antiproliferative activity in ovarian cancer cells better than cisplatin and perhaps by adopting a different mode of action.

Inert cationic iridium(III) complexes with phenanthroline-based ligands: application in antimicrobial inactivation of multidrug-resistant bacterial strains.

A new series of heteroleptic iridium complexes of the type [Ir 2 ][PF 6 ] was tested against two Gram positive and two Gram negative multidrug-resistant bacterial strains of clinical interest. MRSA S. aureus' cell wall and membrane were left intact on therapy with these drugs, and Mechanistic studies revealed that DNA was not their primary target, and that DNA was not their primary target.

Cationic dinitrosyl iron complexes with thiourea exhibit selective toxicity to brain tumor cells in vitro .

In this study, the cytotoxic activity of a series of dinitrosyl iron complexes with thioureas against cells of different origins has been investigated. Complexes with thiourea and 1,3-dimethylthiourea were found to cause cell death in multiple cell lines of both cancerous and non-cancerous origins, as well as non-cancerous origin, respectively, while the N ethylthiourea-bearing complex caused cell death in cells isolated from brain tumors. In Vitro CRISPR/Cas9 Transfection and Gene-Editing Mediated by Multivalent Cationic Liposome-DNA Complexes.

Two types of cationic lipids and three forms of helper lipids are used for that purpose. We found that plasmids encoding Cas9 and single-guide RNA, which are often difficult to transfect due to their large size, can be successfully transplanted into HEK 293T cells by MVL5-based lipoplexes, which are often difficult to transfect due to their large size. Virus editing and gene editing, MVL5-based lipoplexes demonstrated promising GFP knockout rates, with knockout rates equal to 35% for charge ratios of 10. Despite the knockout's performance being similar to that of Lipofectamine 3000 u00ae commercial reagent, the non-specific gene knockout in MVL5-based formulations is more pronounced, presumably due to the formulations' high cytotoxicity. These results, according to Altogether, multivalent lipid-based lipoplexes are promising CRISPR/Cas9 plasmid delivery systems, which may be suitable in vivo delivery systems.
