The role of biosolid derived compost on cation exchange

Organic matter makes up a small percentage in most productive agricultural soils, but it plays a vital role in biogeochemical processes, particularly nutrient availability and soil structure stability, which are caused by cation exchange processes. The inherent properties of soil OM in connection with cation exchange processes have not been explored in this regard. Therefore, it is crucial to quantify the cation exchange in biosolids and biosolid-amended soils, and particularly, the competitive cation exchange process. This research was conducted to determine cation exchange equilibria on biosolid-derived compost in binary cation solutions, according to the main aim of this investigation. The result revealed that the design of the exchange isotherm curves and the number of cations exchanged varied in different binary systems. The biosolid's physical appearance, as well as the use of particular cations to the biosolid will be discussed and discussed. key words: soil organic matter, biosolid, cation exchange, and selectivity coefficient.

Synthesis of noble metal chalcogenides via cation exchange reactions

Noble metal chalcogenides are a common class of materials with unique properties and widespread applications; however, the synthesis of these materials in a well-controlled manner is difficult. Here we present a robust and general roadmap for the manufacture of a wide variety of NMCs by CE transformations, in which CuTe metal chalcogenides are used as sacrificial templates for CE with noble metal cations. According to a mechanistic analysis, the well-controlled synthesis of NMCs is made possible by kinetic control and solvent-dependent thermodynamic control.
