DeepPyramid: Enabling Pyramid View and Deformable Pyramid Reception for Semantic Segmentation in Cataract Surgery Videos

A variety of aspects of surgical outcome improvement and clinical risk reduction have been demonstrated by empirical evidence in cataract surgery. A Pyramid View Fusion module that provides a varied-angle global view of the surrounding area of interest; a Deformable Pyramid Receptive field that adapts to geometric shifts in the object of interest; and a dedicated Pyramid Loss that adaptively manages multi-scale semantic feature maps.
