Outcomes of cataract surgery with toric intraocular lens implantation after keratoplasty.

Objective Objectives: After deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty or mushroom penetrating keratoplasty, it was determined that the efficacy and predictability of cataract extraction with toric intraocular lens implantation. After complete suture removal, to patients with cataract, corneal astigmatism > 1. 5 diopters, and normal central corneal topography, we were referred to patients with cataract, corneal astigmatism > 1. 5 diopters, and regular central corneal topography. 37 patients were selected from a series of patients who had previously undergone either DALK or 2-piece mushroom PK. Both UDVA and CDVA had huge increases, with 5. 3 1. 1 D. Twenty eyes earned UDVA 20/20-40, while 35 eyes reached a CDVA 20/40. Final refractive astigmatism was 0. 93 0. 87 D, with 35 eyes within 2 D, and no errors were made in 18 eyes. Conclusions Toric IOL implantation in postkeratoplasty eyes reduced refractive astigmatism to predictably low rates with concomitant enhanced visual results.

Implantation of intraocular lens without viscoelastic agent in phacoemulsification cataract surgery.

In phacoemulsification cataract surgery, the primary goal was to investigate the clinical effects of implanting an intraocular lens without a viscoelastic agent. Methods The aim of this review was a retrospective review of 87 patients with senile cataracts. The operation time of the experimental group was much shorter than that of the control group. At 4 h after surgery, the IOP of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group. Conclusions: Implantation of an IOL without viscoelastic agent can reduce the operation time and reduce the occurrence of high IOP in the early postoperative period.

Three-dimensional topographic changes of anterior chamber depth following phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation in cataract patients.

Objectives: Purpose: The aim of this paper is to investigate the three-dimensional topographic changes of anterior chamber depth following cataract surgery. Participants were screened with Pentacam for ACD topography before and about four weeks after the surgery. Both AACD and RACD were negatively correlated with the DCA and positively correlated with the age of all DCA students, with the DCA and positively correlated with the age at all DCA ages. In female populations, significantly higher AACD and RACD were found. The significant difference between the AACD between the temporal and nasal areas was revealed at the DCA of more than 6 mm, according to Subgroup review, and the difference between the superior and inferior regions was found at 2 mm DCA for both AACD and RACD. The results provided the basis for including postoperative ACD topography prediction before cataract surgery was planned.

Toric intraocular lens implantation vs. femtosecond laser-assisted arcuate keratotomy for correction of moderate astigmatism in cataract surgery.

Object of Objectives Objective Objectives: During phacoemulsification surgery for moderate astigmatism correction, we compare toric intraocular lens implantation and femtosecond laser-assisted arcuate keratomy. Setting Ancestral research study was conducted. Patients with age-related cataract and moderate preoperative corneal stigmatism of 1. 25 to 3. 0 diopters were randomized into a TIOL implant group and an FSAK group with symmetrical paired corneal arcuate keratomies. Using the Alpins vector method, vector analysis of astigmatic changes was carried out. The study included 75 eyes from 67 patients, according to the authors. Mean residual refractive astigmatism in the TIOL group and -0. 80 0. 53 D in the FSAK group, as well as - 0. 55 D in 32 eyes and 25 eyes, respectively, was 1. 55 D in 32 eyes and 25 eyes. Conclusion TIOL implantation provided better results in treating moderate astigmatism. Despite this, FSAK has been shown to be a safe method for reducing astigmatism.

Comparison of trifocal toric and bifocal toric intraocular lens implantation in patients with cataract and high corneal astigmatism.

In patients who underwent trifocal toric and bifocal toric IOLs, Aim To investigate and compare the quality of life, satisfaction, contrast sensitivity, glare, depth perception, and intraocular lens rotation. Methods In this prospective review, a total of 80 eyes of 40 patients were included. Both groups had low glasses use, but there was no significant difference between the two groups. The trifocal toric group's overall satisfaction was much higher than that of the bifocal toric group. In all patients under photopic conditions, the highest sensitivity was found at 6 cpd spatial frequency. The distance-intermediate-near binocular depth perception results in both groups were higher in the trifocal toric group, which was higher in both groups. Mean rotation was 5. 76°3. 93° in the trifocal toric group and 12°7. 1° in the bifocal toric group, with 12. 73°7. 1° in the bifocal toric group. Moreover, the overall satisfaction in the trifocal toric group is much higher than in the bifocal toric group.

Clinical outcome of phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation for primary angle closure/glaucoma (PAC/PACG) with cataract.

Primary angle-closure glaucoma patients with cataract therapy should be analyzed for the treatment of primary angle-closure glaucoma patients with cataract. Several indices between PAC and PACG patients had no statistical difference in postoperative changes of several indices between PAC and PACG patients. The decrease of IOP in patients with early stage PACG was much higher than that in patients in the middle and advanced stages, and the number of drugs used in early-stage PACG patients was also significantly lower than that in advanced patients. There was no significant difference in postoperative visual acuity or IOP decline among patients with various degrees of preoperative PAS, nor was there any correlation between postoperative IOP control and preoperative PAS, there was no association between postoperative IOP control and preoperative PAS. Phaco is more effective in early stage PACG therapy than in middle or advanced stage, and it can be used in PAC/PACG patients with varying amounts of PAS, but a close follow-up is recommended.

Refractive outcomes of femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery with arcuate keratotomy and standard phacoemulsification with toric intraocular lens implantation.

Eyes with corneal astigmatism can be corrected by either a second laser arcuate keratomy or toric intraocular lens implantation, according to the Purpose. Patients undergoing femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery with FS-AK and patients undergoing standard phacoemulsification with toric IOL implantation were compared in this review. Methods This retrospective review examined the postoperative outcomes of patients undergoing FLACS with FS-AK and patients undergoing standard phacoemulsification with toric IOL implantation. In the toric IOL group, uncorrected visual acuity was noticeably higher than that of the FS-AK group, and corrected visual acuity was marginally better. Both FLACS with FS-AK and standard phacoemulsification with toric IOL implantation are safe and effective methods for astigmatism correction during cataract surgery.
