The catalytic effect of iron on the graphitization of diamonds

Diamonds from Fe-15 wt. % diamonds were processed by conventional powder metallurgy with the requirements of cold pressing at 350 MPa and sintering at 1100°C/360 min. Using thermal analysis, the oxidative behavior of diamonds was investigated. Using infrared spectroscopy, the absorption bands of the graphite and diamond structures' C–C bonds were investigated.
