The GelMA/ECM-PFS functional scaffold system encouraged the recruitment of endogenous mesenchymal stem cells from the defect site two weeks after implanting in vivo. In vivo, GelMA/ECM-PFS achieved successful hyaline cartilage repair in rabbits, although the control regiment mostly resulted in fibrous tissue repair.
