Objective: Objectives: To restore articular cartilage defects of the knee, it was necessary to determine the efficacy and safety of costal chondrocyte-derived microfracture implantation with microfracture. A ratio of 2:1 was generated among Design Thirty subjects with an International Cartilage Repair Society grade 3 to 4 chondral defect. According to the magnetic resonance analysis of cartilage repair tissue composition and clinical findings, efficacy and safety were assessed at weeks 8, 24, and 48 after surgery. MOCART scores in the CCP-ACI group were significantly higher than those in the MFx group at 24 and 48 weeks. Conclusions Following surgery, CCP-ACI treatment of cartilage tissue defects resulted in satisfactory cartilage tissue repair results, with improved structural integration with native cartilage tissue demonstrated by magnetic resonance imaging at 24 and 48 weeks.
