The water environmental carrying capacity index system was developed in order to foster the sustainable growth of a social economy and ecology in order to foster sustainable development of a social economy and ecology. The comprehensive level of water environmental carrying capacity in the Gansu section of the Yellow River basin from 2015 to 2020 was empirically determined and analyzed, based on the unascertained measure theory and the obstacle factor model. The results showed that the comprehensive level of water environmental carrying capacity fluctuated and increased overall, and that it was grade III from 2015 to 2017 and then grade IV in 2018 and 2020, respectively. The paper's findings and methods may provide a theoretical reference for the analysis of water environmental carrying capacity for other rivers and lakes.

Spatiotemporal Heterogeneity and Driving Factors of Water Resource and Environment Carrying Capacity under High-Quality Economic Development in China

Rapid economic growth and social integration in China have resulted in serious water pollution problems and water resource shortages, which have resulted in significant water leaks and water supply shortages, limiting the sustainable growth that could benefit both the socio-economy and water resources carrying capacity. About 65% of provinces remain in an overburdened state, meaning that the support indicator in most provinces is less than the pressure indicator introduced by human social services. WRECC with the greatest degree of regional variation in eastern regions, with a medium-level of WRECC, in comparison to western regions, which has the lowest degree of regional variation. These results reveal a comprehensive review of the latest WRECC in China's provinces, which can be used as a starting point for implementing environmentally sustainable water development strategies under high-quality economic development.

Comprehensive evaluation on water resources carrying capacity based on water-economy-ecology concept framework and EFAST-cloud model: A case study of Henan Province, China

Human life and economic growth and ecology are dependent on water. Water resource modeling is a critical task to determine the coup between economic growth and water resources carrying systems. EFAST algorithm is a special tool for model sensitivity evaluation, which can accurately account for indicators' coupling effect. According to the EFAST-Cloud model's latest survey results from 2010, 2015, and 2020, the WRCC at the watershed scale and municipal scale in Henan Province are assessed. At the target layer, the ecology system criterion layer performs best over the longer term, while the Huaihe and Yangtze River basins have better WRCC at the target layer, which is the largest scale. The conclusion of this paper will give the government a point of reference in crafting water resource management policies.

Application of Ecological Footprint Accounting as a Part of an Integrated Assessment of Environmental Carrying Capacity: A Case Study of the Footprint of Food of a Large City

The results showed that the EFF had exceeded the BC of the city of Wroc, which was 10-fold. Consequently, it is imperative to determine if a city will be able to satisfy the resource demands of its residents while also preserving the natural capital on which they rely intact.

Understanding the Mechanism of Load-Carrying Capacity between Parallel Rough Surfaces through a Deterministic Mixed Lubrication Model

Experimental results have shown that parallel rough surfaces can be separated by a complete fluid film. This paper introduces the development of the lift-off effect by a deterministic mixed lubrication model. For the first time, the new model considered the interaction between asperities and the microelastohydrodynamic lubrication at asperities within parallel rough surfaces. The simulation results reveal that the micro-EHL effect on the asperity scale is particularly important in building load-carrying capacity between parallel rough surfaces.

Forewarning Model of Regional Water Resources Carrying Capacity Based on Combination Weights and Entropy Principles

A key improvement and control measure for regional water security management is a new development method for assessing the regional water resources carrying capacity, forewarning regional water resources of their carrying capacities. Subjective weights of forewarning indices can be calculated using a fuzzy analytic hierarchy procedure, based on an increasingly advanced genetic algorithm, while objective weights of forewarning indices can be calculated by using a forecast pursuit technique, which is based on a progressing genetic algorithm. By using the minimum relative information entropy method, these two weights can be combined into indices of warning indices.

Water Resources Carrying Capacity Evaluation and Diagnosis Based on Set Pair Analysis and Improved the Entropy Weight Method

From the perspective of installing subsystems, an index system and corresponding grade criteria were developed to quantitatively evaluate and diagnose the carrying capacity of regional water resources under various conditions. In the meantime, an improved entropy weight test was used to determine the index's objective weight. To determine the carrying vulnerability factors, the following vulnerability factors was determined. Then, an evaluation tool developed using set pair analysis, was developed by using set pair analysis, and a set pair alternative based on subtraction was suggested. The findings revealed that objective weights of each index were consistent, and that the gap between the index and grade criterion was properly addressed. The status in Southern Anhui was superior to that in the middle area, even though the northern region was somewhat poor. The growth of capacity in the middle area was mainly stifled by a lack of ecological water supply and a small water-saving irrigation area.
