The disproportionate burden of cardiovascular disease risk among minoritized groups in the United States is understudied. According to the findings, living in historically redlined communities was associated with CVH only among Black members, and within this group, living in a neighborhood with improved social environment quality worsened but did not fully attenuate this association.
The most common physiological signs used in cardiovascular disease diagnosis are heart sounds and heart rate. We have developed a new smart stethoscope based on multimodal physiological signal detection techniques for personal cardiovascular health control in this review. Both a digital microphone and photoplehysmogram sensor are included on the bottom and top of the device, respectively, to record heart sound and pulse from the user's chest and finger simultaneously. In addition, a high-performance Bluetooth Low Energy System-on-Chip ARM microprocessor is used for pre-processing of measured results and smartphone communication with the smartphone.
