Approaches Over 6-years 9 patients with kidney cell carcinoma attacking the IVC, went through surgery. CPB used in 8 and hypothermia and circulatory apprehension in all patients with degree IV disease. Mortality: 2 patients Conclusions Total clearance of the IVC from an adherent tumor is very important, therefore extensive degree IV illness provides a medical challenge. We suggest CPB for degree III and quick periods of Total Circulatory Arrest for degree IV illness.
