Mechanical stimulation of cell microenvironment for cardiac muscle tissue regeneration: a 3D in-silico model

The procedures in which cardiac cells are restructured for tissue regeneration is still uncertain. For this aim, a 3D novel and enhanced mathematical design has been established to research the effect of the mechanical properties of the extracellular matrix along with the applied outside pressures in the process of the cell distinction and expansion for cardiac muscle tissue regrowth. It has utilized to examine the initial stages of cardiac muscle tissue development within a large range of ECM tightness. The results show that, after cell culture within a free surface ECM, cells often tend to form lengthened aggregations in the ECM center. It has been found that the optimum ECM stiffness for cardio tissue regrowth is in the array of 29-39 kPa, integrated with the application of a mechanical stimulus equivalent to deformations of 20-25%.
