Background: To clarify and distinguish myocardial tissue alterations in patients with cardiac amyloidosis and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, you can use texture analysis in detecting and differentiating myocardial tissue alterations on T2-weighted CMR. Methods The purpose of this retrospective review included 100 CA and 217 HCM patients who underwent CMR scans. Both the CA and HCM groups were randomly divided into a training database and a validation dataset. The diagnostic results of the model was tested in the lab and then validated in a subgroup of patients with similar hypertrophy after the TA model was introduced in the education system and then validated in a subgroup of patients with similar hypertrophy. Delong's experiment established the significance of the difference between the AUCs of the TA model and late gadolinium improvement. Conclusions The study found that texture analysis based on T2-weighted images could help differentiate CA from HCM, even in patients with similar hypertrophy.
