Pha Kan and Doi Long Formations of Lampang Group's northern Thailand's Sukhothai Zone rock consists mainly of carbonate successions. These formations are abundant in the Lampang area, with mixed carbonate and siliciclastic sediments. These deposits are critical in the recovery of depositional environments and regional links of the Triassic carbonate rocks with respect to the arc of the Sukhothai Zone during the Triassic. This research is designed to investigate the lithology and microfacies of the Pha Kan and Doi Long Formations' carbonate rocks, as well as reevaluate the existing depositional models and carbonate settings. This carbonate system was influenced by the nearby volcanic arc, according to the microfacies and sedimentological study. The Lampang Group in northern Thailand can be associated with the Lincang Massif of the western Yunnan Province, PRC, and the northwestern Lao PDR, according to our report, owing to our analysis.
