In this research, an eco-friendly, cost-efficient, and practical approach for preparing biocompatible fluorescent carbon quantum dots by one-pot microwave helped synthesis from the fallen leave essence of the medicinal plant Calotropis gigantea, called crown blossom, has been shown. As-synthesized CQDs showed fluorescence quantum yields approximately 4. 24 percent. The dimension circulation of the as-synthesized CQDs differed from 2. 7 to 10. 4 nm, with a significant percentage of sp 2 and sp 3 carbon groups validated by nuclear magnetic resonance analysis.
