Pathways of China's PM 2.5 air quality 2015–2060 in the context of carbon neutrality

In recent years, China's particulate matter air pollution has drastically reduced particulate matter air pollution, mainly by lowering end-of-pipe emissions. We examine pathways of Chinese PM 2. 5 air quality from 2015 to 2060 under a range of scenarios that compare global and Chinese climate mitigation initiatives to local clean air policies. China can meet both its near-term climate targets and the PM 2. 5 air quality annual target by 2030 by fulfilling its NDC commitments and continuing air pollution control measures.
