Greenhouse gases reduction is the largest challenge for the power generation industry, requiring the development of new designs and methods of electricity generation. This paper describes a design solution for a novel thermodynamic cycle with two new components, namely, a wet combustion chamber and a spray-ejector condenser. Due to fuel combustion by pure oxygen, the combustion chamber experiences high temperatures in the new cycle. A mixture of H2O and CO2 is produced as a result of the chemical reaction and open water cooling. The resulting working medium expands in a single turbine that incorporates the advantages of gas turbines and steam turbines. In addition, the main purpose of the spray-ejector condenser is the simultaneous condensation of water vapour and compression of CO2 from condensing pressure to about 1 bar. COM-GAS software has been used for numerical flow mechanics simulations.
