Abstract: Most of the anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, as well as volume expansion and polarization, are suffering from capacity deficionation and reduction of cycle life due to volume expansion and polarization. We have successfully produced helical carbon nanofibers for LIBs using a simple ethanol flame process and evaluated their electrochemical properties as anode materials for LIBs. HCNFs' simple fabrication process and excellent chemical properties make them ideal anode materials for LIBs.

Phenolic Resin-coated Porous Silicon/carbon Microspheres Anode Materials for Lithium-ion Batteries

Abstract. Using a porous silicon/carbon anode material for Lithium-ion batteries was synthesized successfully by a hydrochloric acid etching and calcination technique using micron Si-Al alloy as a silicon source and carbon source. Si/C's maximum capacity is 1287. 0 mAh/g after 50 cycles, corresponding to the capacity retention of 91. 0%. The lithium ion diffusion coefficient of Si/C is 5. 98 percent, u00d710-11 cm 2 s u22121, which is higher than that of 7. 57 -12 cm 2 s u22121 for porous Si.
