Home Blood Pressure Measurement and Self-Interpretation of Blood Pressure Readings During Pregnancy: Hy-Result e-Health Prospective Study.

Introduction Hy-Result is a rule management system that is designed to enable patients to be fully compliant with the home blood pressure measurement schedule and monitoring their BP readings. The purpose of the Hy-Result e-Health prospective research is to assess women's use and experience with the Hy-Result coaching app for self-interpretation of BP readings during and after pregnancy. 95% said the app was "easy" or "very simple" to use; 93% agreed that the color code classification helped them monitor their BP; 93% agreed, 94% said that the app helped them monitor their BP more accurately; 93% said the app aids them in determining their physician's recommendation for their BP analysis. Conclusion This report found that the overwhelming 88% of pregnant women used HBPM and more accurately used the Hy-Result software for self-interpretation of the BP results.

Evaluation of oscillometric blood pressure measurement devices available for online sale.

Objectives: To describe oscillometric blood pressure measurement systems for sale in the virtual market and identify which ones have undergone a validation study. The search for devices for sale was carried out on websites, and the sample consisted of 137 devices obtained from 644 ADs. Using the SAS 9. 4 software, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to verify data availability, followed by Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis tests for comparisons. Some ADs are incorrectly informing validation. We found some ads that incorrectly reported validation.

Multi-Dimensional Feature Combination Method for Continuous Blood Pressure Measurement Based on Wrist PPG Sensor.

The cuffles' blood pressure monitoring system, which is based on photoplethysmogram, makes it possible for long-term blood pressure monitoring to prevent and treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events. The prediction model based on a single feature group is unlikely to perform well in a single sensor study. This paper introduces an artificial neural network algorithm for predicting blood pressure based on feature combinations. Firstly, an adaptive peak extraction algorithm is used to increase the precision of peak and troughs detection. Thirty-three patients were distributed in three blood pressure groups, with three blood pressure groups recruited. The European Society of Hypertension International Protocol Version 2010 rewrites the document. Experimental results show that the proposed method has good accuracy for a large population with an estimation error of 0. 03 4. 27 mmHg for SBP and 0. 38 for DBP. Moreover, the algorithm can monitor blood pressure in a long run, showing the robustness of the algorithm.

A model for early failure prediction of blood pressure measurement devices in a stepped validation approach.

Blood pressure monitoring systems must be tested according to stringent international validation protocols. The 2010 European Society of Hypertension International Protocol and the Universal Standard for Validation of BPM devices were scrutinized for criteria that could be used for prohibiting passage. If there are 27, 13, or 4 single measurements that differ more than 5, 10, or 15 mmHg from the reference, we found that a BPM device could not pass the ESH-IP protocol. We built a model that calculates best-case standard deviations to identify SDs for the AAMI/ESH/ISO protocol, which would prevent the protocol from being approved before the protocol's completion, making a stepwise validation process possible. If used in a stepwise approach, we found that our model is able to predict the failure of low-accuracy BPM devices early during a validation process.

Pulse transit time-estimated blood pressure: a comparison of beat-to-beat and intermittent measurement.

This research was designed to investigate differences in BP measurements, including BP variability, between those surveyed by beat-to-beat PTT-estimated BP and those assessed by intermittent PTT-estimated BP at regular time intervals in patients suspected of sleep disordered breathing. The purpose of this study is to accelerate progress in the design and usage of cuffless BP measurement technologies. Current applications and limitations of European guidelines on blood pressure measurement: implications for clinical practice.

Effective management of hypertension is of utmost importance in reducing the risk of hypertension-related CV problems, as well as lowering the global burden of CV deaths. However, several studies found that in a setting of real-life activities, there were poor rates of blood pressure monitoring. Correct evaluation of individual BP profiles, including home, clinic, and 24-h ambulatory BP measurements, may lead to improved understanding of the condition, ensure adherence to prescribed medications in treated hypertensive patients, and can even help with improved BP management in treated hypertensive outpatients. This report focused on current applications and potential shortcomings of European guidelines on how to monitor BP in office and out-of-office conditions, as well as their potential effects on daily clinical management of hypertension.
