BACKGROUND Phenomena is a medical device used to treat benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. However, the role of complement C1q/TNF-related proteins in BPPV is unclear, so we investigated the change of CTRPs in betahistine-treated BPPV. Methods We treated BPPV patients with Betahistine for 4 weeks and investigated the clinical efficiency and expression of CTRP family members in BPPV patients. Adenoviral vectors for CTRP expression vector and small interfering RNA were delivered to mice by intratympanic injection, revealing the presence of CTRP family members, phosphorylation levels of ERK and AKT, and the expression of PPAR. In gentamicin-treated mice and Sloop mutant mice, we also discovered that Betahistine enhanced the air righting reflex, shortened the time of contact righting reflex, and the results of head tilt and swimming behavior in gentamicin-treated mice and Slc26a4 / loop/loop mutant mice.

BPPV vertigo in BPPV is a very traumatic event for the patient. BPPV based patients in our hospital's history and investigation were tested with a DHI questionnaire before and after intervention, and findings were reported. Patients treated with CRM received significant improvements in all three DHI index measures, as compared to those who received only reassurance.
