Preparation, physicochemical properties and antioxidant capacity of edible agar films containing hull‐less barley grass polysaccharide extracts

With a modest decrease in 2% w/w HBP addition, the films' flexibility was increased gradually, as HBP contents increased from 0 to 1. 5% w/w. The antioxidant analysis of the HBP-u2010loaded films showed the high antioxidant capacity of the HBP-u2010loaded films, which was highly correlated with HBP's HBP films, with 6% w/w HBP leading to 58 percent scavenging and 69% ABTS radical scavenging. HBP was a promising functional agent for filming antioxidant biopolymer films, according to the HBP research, and the agar/HBP edible films made in this study may have potential in food packaging fields.
