ABSTRACT Background: Statins' role in sepsis patients with acute kidney injury is still unclear in sepsis patients with acute kidney disease. This research was done to investigate the effects of oral Simvastatin and low dose intravenous norepinephrine as an adjunctive therapy in early acute kidney disease associated with sepsis. They were randomly assigned to two groups; Group A received oral Simvastatin 80 mg/day and low dose intravenous norepinephrine as well as traditional sepsis therapy; Group B received only general sepsis therapy. Conclusions: Simvastatin and low dose norepinephrine did not cause any improvement in patients with sepsis-associated AKI.

Background: Acute kidney disease has been attributed to an elevated mortality in hospital patients. Acute Myocardial Infarction is one of the Acute Coronary Syndrome spectrum with a high mortality rate. Patients with AMI are often associated with comorbid factors that raise the risk and influence the prognosis, which necessitates intervention. The quality of life can be measured using a EuroQoL questionnaire based on the EQ-5D scale, which was found to be helpful in determining post intervention and comorbidities management plans. Method: This is a retrospective analysis of AMI patients who underwent Percutaneous Coronary Intervention at the HAM Hospital. The results: In this article, there were 80 patients with Good Quality of Life and 50 patients with Poor Quality of Life. Conclusion: Comorbidities have a positive relationship with quality of life, and multicomorbidity can predict reduced quality of life in AMI patients after percutaneous coronary intervention.
