The silencing of cytoplasmic lysine and acetylation rates at the same lysine site in cytoplasmic proteins in the opposite direction, suggesting that cytoplasmic lysine acetylation and crotonylation did not depend on the relative concentrations of acetyl-CoA and crotonyl-CoA.

Involvement of ACACA (acetyl-CoA carboxylase α) in the lung pre-metastatic niche formation in breast cancer by senescence phenotypic conversion in fibroblasts

Methods: Before lung metastasis, we investigated the transcriptomes and lipidomes of lung of MMTV-PyVT mice by microarray and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. To determine the effect of cancer on lung fibroblast change, lung fibroblasts were isolated from mice and co-cultured with breast cancer. Results: We observed changes in the lipid profile and several lipid metabolism genes in breast cancer-bearing MMTV-PyVT mice's lungs before cancer dissemination, according to the researchers. Both in vivo and in vitro models showed a senescent and inflammatory morphological shift of lung fibroblasts. Through the production of CXCL1 in the lungs, the pulmonary fibroblasts of senescence-associated secretor cells was able to recruit immunosuppressive granulocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells into the lungs. In the MMTV-PyVT mouse model, lung metastasis was prevented, according to ACACA's Knock-in, further demonstrating that ACACA was involved in the lung PMN's reconstruction.
