An accessory muscle of flexor digitorum profundus with bipennate first lumbrical: a unique variation of clinical significance.

In the right forearm, unusual accessory muscle in connection with the flexor digitorum profundus muscle was discovered during deep dissection of the front of the forearm. We discovered the first lumbrical muscle in the palm of FDP and accessory muscle tendon's central tendons. The accessory muscle was merged with FDP's index finger tendon after giving rise to the first lumbrical muscle.
