At the Institute of Thermal Engineering, a small-capacity ammonia/water absorption heat pumping unit with about 5 kW air conditioning ability has been constructed and examined busy. For all warmth exchangers, common plate warmth exchangers have been used. In addition, sensitivity calculations have been carried out by varying the temperature level degrees of the warm resources and the heat sink in order to investigate the different element losses at different operating problems. The results show that the part exergy losses depend certain on the temperature level of both the warm sources and the heat sink. At reduced temperature level lifts, the exergy losses of the absorber and generator are dominant and with boosting temperature lift, the exergy losses of the rectification and the dephlegmator column come to be substantial.
